SILK is an elegant boutique medical spa, located in Encino, CA. We approach each client by taking a very personal interest in their needs. By providing up-to-the-minute technology, we nurture everybody with state-of-the-art skincare and aesthetic treatments.

The SILK Medical Spa team is overseen by Dr. George Sanders and Dr. Stephen Bresnick, two of the top plastic surgeons and skin care experts in the nation. They have both undergone extensive training in some of the nation’s elite institutions and have spent years honing their skills and knowledge in order to provide beautiful, long-lasting and safe results to their patients. Thanks to their breadth of knowledge and compassionate approach, Dr. Sanders and Dr. Bresnick are two of the most highly sought out plastic surgeons in Southern California.

The team at SILK Medical Spa also consists of licensed and highly experienced nurses and medical aestheticians who share the doctors’ vision of providing high-quality care with a gentle, personal touch. Each of our team members take a personal interest in our patients’ needs and goals, and works diligently to provide excellent, individualized care.
Dr. George Sanders, MD
George Sanders, MD, is a board-certified plastic surgeon who is one of the best-known plastic surgeons in Southern California. Born and raised in Texas, Dr. Sanders earned his undergraduate degree Phi Beta Kappa from Rice University. He then went on to complete his medical degree at Harvard Medical School.
After graduating, Dr. Sanders trained in general surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles and then finished his general surgery training as chief resident at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he earned the coveted Leo Rigler Award for surgical excellence. Dr. Sanders then completed his plastic surgery fellowship at UCLA, where he trained alongside some of the top cosmetic and reconstructive surgeons in the world. He was aggressively courted by a number of plastic surgery practices, but chose Encino because of his love for the area and its residents.

Abel Navarro FNP ( Clinical Director)
Abel has dedicated his life to the art and science of beauty. With almost two decades of experience in the aesthetics industry, he has evolved into a true expert in facial harmony and transformative results.
His journey began as a makeup artist, where he mastered the power of light, shadow, and contouring to enhance natural features and create stunning visual balance. Driven by a passion for more than surface-level beauty, Abel transitioned into medical aesthetics, focusing on advanced skincare treatments and medical-grade products to deliver real, lasting improvements in skin health and appearance.
Determined to expand his impact, Abel pursued a career in nursing, keeping beauty and aesthetics at the heart of his practice. Once licensed to perform injectable treatments, he found his true calling- artfully sculpting and rejuvenating faces with precision and artistry.
Now a nurse practitioner, Abel continues to seek the latest innovations and technologies in the field, committed to helping his clients look and feel their absolute best. His blend of artistic vision, technical skill, and genuine care sets him apart as a trusted authority in aesthetic medicine.
Lisa Arnold Medical Aesthetician
With over 20 years of hands-on experience in medical aesthetics, Lisa Arnold is a trusted expert specializing in advanced skin rejuvenation treatments including customized facials, chemical peels, microneedling, and laser therapies. As one of the original team members at Silk Medical Spa, Lisa has built a loyal clientele by tailoring every treatment to each individual’s unique skin needs and goals.
A proud graduate of the Paul Mitchell Skin Academy, Lisa has continued her education with advanced training in clinical skincare techniques, including post-surgical facial treatments to support healing and enhance long-term results. Her approach is rooted in education, personalization, and results-driven care—whether she’s treating acne, pigmentation but Anti Aging treatments are her specialty!
Known for her gentle touch, clinical precision, and deep knowledge of skin health, Lisa continues to help clients look and feel their best with the latest in aesthetic technology and skincare innovation.
Donna Magas, RN
Donna Magas, RN, brings over 20 years of nursing experience and a lifelong passion for aesthetics to her practice. Before becoming a registered nurse, she worked as a licensed aesthetician for 8 years, giving her a unique foundation in skin health and beauty. For the past 8 years, Donna has specialized as an aesthetic nurse injector, combining her medical expertise with her eye for artistry to deliver natural, confidence-boosting results. She is dedicated to providing personalized care that helps each client look and feel their best.
Teresa Le, MSN, FNP-C,
is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with seven years of experience in medical aesthetics. Renowned for her natural approach and eye for balance, Teresa is passionate about enhancing her patients’ features while preserving their unique beauty. Her goal is simple: help people look like the best version of themselves—refreshed, never overdone.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Oregon Health Sciences University and completed her Master of Science in Nursing at United States University. In addition to her clinical work, Teresa is an experienced aesthetic injector, clinical trainer, and laser educator, sharing her expertise with providers across the industry. She is currently advancing her knowledge through a Functional Medicine certification to better support patients with hormonal health, metabolic balance, and whole-body wellness—getting to the root cause of symptoms rather than masking them.
Fluent in Vietnamese, Teresa brings a culturally inclusive and compassionate approach to her practice. Whether in the treatment room or the classroom, her commitment to safety, results, and empowerment shines through.
Beyond the clinic, Teresa is a devoted mother to a teenage son. She enjoys traveling the world, exploring new cuisines, staying active, and soaking up the outdoors. Her warm energy, easy laugh, and adventurous spirit make her not just a skilled provider—but someone patients genuinely enjoy spending time with.
Katherine – Spa Coordinator
Katherine brings over a decade of customer service expertise and a genuine passion for beauty and wellness to her role as Spa Coordinator at Silk. With a cosmetology license and extensive experience as a professional makeup artist, she has developed a keen eye and strong attention to detail that ensure every client feels cared for. Known for her fun, approachable personality and her love of making people feel good, Katherine creates a welcoming experience that puts clients at ease. Inspired by her passion for aesthetics and helping others feel confident, she is currently pursuing nursing school with the goal of becoming a licensed nurse specializing in aesthetics.
