Restylane® Lyft with Lidocaine is a clear injectable gel composed of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that already exists in the body. Restylane® Lyft with Lidocaine is non animal-based and free from animal protein. Allergy pretesting is not necessary. Restylane® Lyft with Lidocaine also contains 0.3% lidocaine. The lidocaine in Restylane® Lyft with Lidocaine has been added to reduce the discomfort associated with the treatment.
Restylane® Lyft with Lidocaine is injected into the skin with an ultrafine needle to plump the skin to smooth away wrinkles and folds such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth and is injected with an ultrafine needle or a small, blunt-tipped cannula to increase the fullness of your cheeks. Restylane® Lyft with Lidocaine may also be injected, using an ultrafine needle under the skin to address volume deficiency in the back of the hand.

Restylane® Lyft helps correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as smile or laugh lines, known as nasolabial folds, and restore age-related volume loss in the cheeks and back of hands.
Although most patients will notice results immediately after treatment as the volume instantly fills out the wrinkles and lines, it may take up to 4 weeks for the full result to take effect and be visible.

Treatment with Restylane® Lyft is quick and simple, and takes about 15 – 30 minutes.

The treatment is minimally invasive and relatively painless. Injections may cause some temporary discomfort during and after treatment. Restylane® Lyft contains lidocaine to help reduce injection site pain.

Common side effects include redness, bruising, inflammation, bumps, pain swelling, warmth, hardening. The majority of side effects are mild to moderate reactions that disappear within a week or two. If any symptom lasts longer than 2 weeks, you should call your doctor.
Before And After Care
Before Treatment
Avoid using aspirin, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications (such as ibuprofen), St. John’s wort or high doses of vitamin E supplements. These agents may increase bruising and bleeding at the injection site. Speak with your healthcare professional if you have previously suffered from facial cold sores. He or she may prescribe a medication to minimize recurrence.
After Treatment
Please observe the following after treatment with Restylane-L:
- A cloth dipped in cold water (cold compresses), wrung out, and applied to the injected area may be used immediately after treatment to reduce swelling.
- Avoid touching the treated area within six hours following treatment so you do not accidentally injure your skin while the area is numb. After that, the area can be gently washed with soap and water.
- Until there is no redness or swelling, avoid exposure of the treated area to intense heat such as sun lamps or sun bathing.
- If you have previously suffered from facial cold sores, there is a risk that the needle punctures could contribute to another occurrence. Speak to your physician about medicine to prevent this from happening again.
- Avoid taking aspirin, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications, St. John’s Wort, and high doses of Vitamin E supplements for one week after treatment. These agents may increase bruising and bleeding at the injection site.
Follow Up
Depending on the treatment performed and your desired look, treatment can be done every 6 to 12 months to maintain optimal results
