RADIESSE is a volumizing dermal filler that provides a natural definition to restore a more youthful-looking appearance. Not only does it instantly restore volume and diminish deep wrinkles and folds, it stimulates the production of collagen, the main structural protein in our skin that helps our skin look tight, taught, and youthful. As we age, the production of collagen slows down, causing the skin to sag. RADIESSE stimulates the body’s process of generating collagen, and is used to fill in wrinkles long term, while encouraging new development of collagen in the process, resulting in a more rejuvenated appearance. A cosmetic injectable, RADIESSE is comprised of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in an aqueous gel carrier. Once injected, it provides immediate volume and correction and continues to work by stimulating the body to produce its own natural collagen for a long-lasting effect. Over time, the gel is absorbed and the body metabolizes the CaHA microspheres, leaving behind only your own natural collagen.

What Is Radiesse®?
RADIESSE® is a dermal filler that temporarily adds volume to help smooth moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds (the creases that extend from the corner of your nose to the corner of your mouth). RADIESSE® can also be used for correcting volume loss in the back of the hands.
What Is Radiesse® Made From?
RADIESSE is made of tiny calcium-based microspheres suspended in a water-based gel. The calcium microspheres are similar to minerals found naturally in the body so allergy testing is not required. Over time, the body absorbs the microspheres and gel, leaving behind only natural collagen.
How Does Radiesse® Work?

What Makes Radiesse® Different From Other Leading Dermal Fillers?
RADIESSE is the only dermal filler available composed of calcium-based microspheres, and has been shown to stimulate the natural production of collagen, for results that may last up to a year or more in many patients. Additionally, in clinical studies with leading hyaluronic acid injectable dermal fillers, results showed that RADIESSE patients were more satisfied with their results than patients treated with other leading wrinkle fillers. In addition, 30% less RADIESSE may be needed for correction when compared to Perlane® injectable gel.

What Are The Side Effects Of Treatment With Radiesse®? Is It Safe?
The most common adverse events include bruising, redness, swelling, pain, tenderness and itching. These side effects generally last for a short time and are mild in nature. These are not all of the possible side effects with RADIESSE. Tell your health care provider about any side effects that bother you or do not go away.
RADIESSE® Volumizing Filler is FDA approved, and has undergone rigorous testing in clinical studies to prove its safety. As with all filler treatments, patients may experience redness, bruising, swelling or other local side effects. Most side effects of treatment resolve within a few days. More rare side effects may include swelling that lasts longer, unevenness or firmness in the area injected, and as with any injection, there may be a risk of infection.

There is little to no down-time post-treatment with RADIESSE® Volumizing Fillers.
